Douglas Noel Adams (DNA) was born on March 11th, 1952. After nearly a decade of saying in his "about the author" book blurbs that he was nearly married to a lady barrister, on November 25, 1991 Douglas Adams and Jane Belson tied the knot in a quiet ceremony at Finsbury Town Hall in London. Jane gave birth to the couple's first child on June 22nd, 1994. Her name is Polly Jane Adams, but while she was in the womb she acquired the nickname Rocket. According to her doting daddy, "She's long and slim and dark haired and is incomprehensibly beautiful."

DNA definitely has a close association with computers. He loves Macintoshes, and at one stage lived with one in Islington (hmmm, love your computer Doug, but don't love your computer). He says that computers have completely changed the way he writes (he has gone from avoiding writing by finding food to eat, to avoiding writing by reconfiguring his Macintosh's operating system).
